[Identifying information excluded]
We hope you will enjoy your new puppy for many years to come.
The puppy will be released to the buyer once funds for the entire price of the puppy have been received.
Buyer agrees to provide a life-long commitment, safe and comfortable environment, prompt medical attention, proper grooming and responsible care. This includes veterinary checkups, immunizations, exercise and proper nutrition. For the benefit of your puppy and yourself, pet health insurance is highly recommended.
Buyer agrees to refrain from taking your new puppy to public places where other animals may congregate such as parks, pet stores, kennels, grooming facilities, shopping centers etc., until the puppy has received its full round of puppy vaccinations, or until your veterinarian indicates it is safe to do so.
The safety and wellbeing of our puppies is of the utmost importance to us. Should the puppy ever be found by law enforcement, an animal welfare agency or a court of law to be in a dangerous situation such as neglect, abuse, hoarding, dog fighting or a puppy mill operation, if deemed appropriate by the above entities, ownership rights and possession of the puppy will default back to the breeder and no monetary compensation will be given.
HEALTH GUARANTEE
The Seller guarantees this puppy to be of sound health and temperament at the time of the sale. A health record of all shots and worming will be provided by the seller. Buyer agrees to take the puppy to a licensed veterinarian within 5 days for a physical examination. The failure of this will result in the cancellation of the guarantee. If the examination indicates that at the time of sale the animal was unfit for purchase due to disease or congenital disorder, Buyer may return the pup to us for an exchange of equivalent value or refund.
This puppy is guaranteed until two (2) years of age against any serious congenital defects and genetic diseases that render the pup not suitable as a pet. If any life threatening hereditary or congenital disease is found, a replacement pup or refund of purchase price will be provided to the buyer. Seller must be notified of the problem within two (2) business days of the licensed veterinarian’s determination and have two (2) reports from two (2) different veterinarians stating the same problem. Buyer is responsible for all veterinary costs.
Please note: This guarantee does not include any illness due to the ingestion of foreign objects, improper foods, chemicals, physical injuries, hernias, heat stroke, environmental factors or improper socialization. Hypoglycemia intestinal worms, giardia and coccidia are NOT covered under this guarantee. This guarantee does not cover viral or bacterial infections, parvo, distemper, coronavirus, kennel cough, pneumonia, lyme disease, heartworm, rabies, skin problems or allergies. This guarantee does not cover behavioral or training issues. This guarantee does not cover any injury sustained to the puppy by other acts such as injury from another animal, improper care, an accident with a vehicle, abuse or neglect.
Other than the general health guarantee and the genetic health guarantee, no other guarantees or warranties, express or implied, are provided by Breeder to Buyer.
SIZE/WEIGHT/COLOR/TEMPERAMENT
We estimate the adult size, weight, color and temperament; however, this is only an educated guess and is not guaranteed. This guarantee does not cover these items and no reimbursement/exchange will be made should these items differ from the estimate given.
While Bernedoodles have a pleasant temperament and disposition, temperament and disposition often depend on the environment in which a dog is raised, as well as the love, affection and training that is given. As such, Breeder cannot and does not guarantee the general temperament or disposition of the dog. Buyer assumes responsibility for the behavior of the dog.
While it has been our experience that our Bernedoodles do well with children we do not recommend that they or any other dogs be left unsupervised with children.
MICROCHIP AND RETURN POLICY
All of our puppies are microchipped and will be registered to the buyer as well as to the seller as a backup. In the event that the seller is contacted through the microchip identification, all reasonable efforts will be made to contact the buyer. It is very important to notify the seller as well as the microchip registry if your contact information changes. If the buyer is not able to be found, ownership of the puppy will default back to the seller.
If at any time the buyer can no longer retain possession of this dog, the breeder is to be notified and given the first option of resuming full ownership of the dog. Under no circumstances will this dog be sold, leased, traded or given away to any pet shop, research laboratory, animal shelter or similar facility. The breeder agrees to always accept the return of the dog at any time and for any reason.
SPAY/NEUTER AGREEMENT
Our puppies are sold as companion dogs and come with no breeding rights unless discussed and agreed upon in advance. In purchasing a puppy from us, you agree to a strict spay/neuter agreement. This means you agree to spay/neuter the pup before one and a half years (18 months) of age. Proof of the procedure must be provided to the breeder no later than 19 months of age.
Failure to comply with this agreement will void the Health Guarantee. Purchaser understands that this spay/neuter agreement is an agreement that this dog will not produce a litter of puppies either as purposely bred or by accidental breeding. If a pregnancy occurs whether purposely or accidentally the purchaser agrees to pay the additional cost for a breeding dog, which is $5,000.
